Urban Decay Midnight Cowboy Palette
The Midnight Cowboy palette couldn't be passed up. That much glitter and you think I'll say no? Of course not!
The palette comes with 4 shadows, 24/7 Eye Pencil in Whiskey, and Lip Junkie lip gloss in, of course Midnight Cowboy. Glitter overload? Yes please!!
The eye shadows are the 3 classic Midnight Cowboy shades and a new shade of deep rich purple called Romp. The Midnight Cowboy colors are shades of beige and light neutral pinks that are very glitter heavy while Romp has no glitter in it. The differences between the Cowboy shades are subtle and could get a little lost on your eyes when blended.
Here's a close up of all 4 shadow shades. You can see some of the similarities in the swatches. I still think this palette is lovely just perhaps not work safe with so much glitter. I think Cowgirl works best as a highlight shade and Romp is a lovely crease color or liner.
I know a lot of bloggers and beauty aficionados are not fans of the Urban Decay Midnight Cowboy shadows. Complaints of fall out and glitter bomb come to mind. That may be true, but a little patience makes this palette work. I've found that patting the shadows on over a base help to keep them in place. Also dusting some setting powder on your cheeks catch fall out then swept away when done helps as well. Don't fear the fall out, just work with it. :D
Will you be sporting your inner cowgirl?
