FTW Friday's the Win FTW - May 6, 2011

FTW or Friday's the Win is a play on For the Win and a recurring theme every Friday. Since everyone looks forward to Friday's arrival each week I figured it'd be a good time to share with everyone what made your week filled with extra epic awesomeness! Maybe you found the perfect Summer dress. Maybe you defeated Portal 2 and it only took you 9825 hours. Or maybe you woke up to find yourself in a cartoon. Whatever it is that made your week tell us all about it here!

My FTW this week is simple, I am gonna relax.  It has been a grueling week, a grueling month, and a good chunk of the past few years has been grueling too.  So I am gonna relax.  I am gonna sit down and do what I want to do and not worry about doing what I have to or need to do.  And I might just go to Sephora and Ulta and spend more money than I should.  LOL  Well within reason of course.

Avatar: The Last Airbender - The Promise Part 1 Review

After 3 seasons of following the adventures of Aang, Katara, Sokka, and Toph across the four kingdoms of Water, Earth, Fire, and Air, fans will finally get to see what happens after the series ends.  In Avatar: The Last Airbender - The Promise Part 1 , we pick up immediately after the end of the series to find our heroes along side Fire King Zuko and Earth King Kuei deciding how best to handle the removal of the Fire Nation colonies.  It's decided that The Harmony Restoration Movement, named by Sokka of course, will uproot and move all the Fire Nation colonists back to their homeland in the Fire nation and out of the Earth Nation territory.  A fine idea to be sure but it's soon realized some things are not as easy as they seem and Aang must learn if he can bring peace to the Movement as well as keep a difficult promise to a friend. The book contains the usual hi jinks of course, coupled with the its ability to tackle big social and economic issues much like the show did.
